Have you ever found yourself jammin’ to a country song mixed with a little rap and thought, “This is the perfect amount of 90s bass with the southern comfort of a country song.” Now apply that "hybrid" thinking to food. What mix of unique foods would make the perfect combination? Lucy's On The Square in Celina, Texas may have found that perfect combination with their Philly Cheese Steak Quesadilla. That's right: a sandwich favorite wrapped up in a crispy tortilla. Now we know that when you think about Lucy’s On The Square, you’re likely thinking of good ‘ol southern cooking—like a country fried steak or some delicious mac and cheese. Well, maybe it's time to change your thinking! On the evening that I went to Lucy's I discovered this great twist on the traditional quesadilla and Philly Cheesesteak. By merging the two traditional favorites into one dish, something oddly familiar yet totally new tasting comes to life. I have to admit that while I was slightly hesitant to order it, in the end, I was really glad I did. From the crunch of the perfectly crisp tortilla, to the juicy steak, melted Swiss and perfectly grilled onions, the Philly cheesesteak Quesadilla from Lucy's On The Square was really good! Coming in at $13.79, this unique quesadilla is also delivered to your table with salsa, guac and sour cream. Ultimately, I really liked it and think that If you’re looking for something different that's savory and seasoned to perfection, look no further because Lucy’s has you covered!

You've likely seen the headlines or at least heard the rumor: Celina ISD has proposed a 2.3 billion dollar bond to build a second high school, purchase land and busses to serve the needs of a quickly growing Celina ISD. So what about it? Is it a good thing or a bad thing? Let's dive in. As our town of Celina, Texas continues to grow, our schools face both new challenges and exciting opportunities. There’s been a lot of discussion about the upcoming school bond proposal, and I’d like to share some thoughts on why this investment can truly benefit our community—while also addressing some of the concerns that have been raised. A Fresh Start for Our Schools For years, our school district has worked hard with limited resources, managing aging facilities and outdated equipment. The proposed bond is designed to bring much-needed improvements—upgrading classrooms, modernizing technology, and ensuring our facilities meet today’s safety standards. When we invest in our schools, we invest in the future of every student who walks through those doors. Real Benefits for Our Community Upgrading Facilities and Embracing Technology Imagine classrooms where students have access to state-of-the-art technology, new science labs, and creative spaces that foster learning.
